Went for a walk around a disused mine and rubbish dump nature reserve. The place has a bunch of paths around various fenced off bits of ground with warning signs.

This nice pool of water was quite obviously an opencast mine at some point, and those mysterious black pipes are all over the side of what was until recently an active landfill site.

I need to go back and do further exploration.
